This morning, as usual, noah went through his routine when he woke up..." mama home, dadda home, nana house, bopba house.. leo house, and he finally said a wonderful full sentence, complete with his first properly used pronoun, "emma at her house".. I was so excited for him! He has not been using pronouns unless mimicking us. "I see you" when playing peekaboo with us or when stuggling to get down we'll say "I want down" for him, and he'll repeat it back. But today was on his own, not mimicked. I was so excited!
Noah had his first dentist appt today and he did soo well! the dr said he will have issues with over crowding as he barely has enough room for his two year molars to come in yet. I knew that would happen as he is such a peanut and would have a small mouth. and he showed me how to brush his teeth a different way and it works much better.

first big boo-boo's
(2 years, 3 weeks)
Poor noah took his first trip down the stairs, head first. He ran out of his room, and tripped, unfortunately at the top of the stairs and went head over feet all the way down, landing on his head. It scared me soooo badly! He was fine and cried immediately. I asked if he wanted to call daddy at work..."awwww fight" he replies all sad. He felt better after kisses from me and speaking to daddy and went about his business of eating snack and playing with his toys. This is after a few days of high temps (104.7 to 102 to 103.4). and then later in the week, pinching his finger hard enough in his self-attempt to close the high chair straps.. drawing blood and cutting his finger. and then today, burning his mouth badly on hot fish sticks.. apparently they were not hot where I tested them. Poor noah, but I know it could be much worse!

Noah's words
2years, 2 weeks
Noah still continues to grow in his vocab. mee-mee is mittens, guck is truck. mulks is milk, may-men guck.. mail man truck. ka-ka is cracker.. apple-ple is apple.. elbow-bow is elbow. helakaka is helicopter, complete with sounds as he pretends it flies through the air! Fob is frog and it "rips".. ribits. Bun is bunny rabbit, guy is dog, "aw-fight" is all right, but he'll either say it as "awww fiigghht" when surrendering to a request or "aw-FIGHT!!" when enthusiastic to a question.
the funny thing is eh-day-day is :
air plane
ambulance
library
I have no idea how, but all three are eh-day-day. and I understand which one he means each time. I just love hearing him talk!
He is going through a bit of a crabby stage right now. It is a little frustrating. He screams and whines a lot. He is also refusing his naps, despite being completely exhausted. I know it is only a stage, but frustrating none the less.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY!
Today is Noah's 2nd birthday!!!
It is so hard to believe he is 2. This year has flown by so fast, it is amazing! He continues to grow and change on a daily basis, learning new things. He constantly is amazing me.
We had Noah's birthday party on December 30. NanaB, Bob, Nana and Bobpa were over, along with Aunt Helen, Uncle John and Cousin Paul who were visiting from FLorida. Aunt becky, dan, emma and leo could not make it because Becky was recovering from Gall Bladder surgery from two days prior. Aunt Lori came-who noah calls "Ya Yi" and Cheyenne who Noah calls "chey chey". Scott and Chris were in RI at another hockey game chris was playing in. We had a huge Thomas the tank engine cake, so big and blue! noah's face was covered in blue frosting. He loved his balloons, especially his Thomas balloon. He got so many toys and presents, he is so fortunate. Everyone had a good time. Noah's favorite was Bob the builder tool set from Nana and Bopba. He pretented the screw driver was a microphone and shared it with mommy as we both sang into it. He is such a funny kid!

Christmas Eve
23m 3w
Noah had christmas last night with nana and bopba, em-mama and weeoo, unk and auteetee. That is how he says everyone's names. He had such a great time, singing christmas carols, playing with emma, and eating Nana's polish dinner.
Noah has had a great winter so far, playing outside in the snow for the first time, or "sNoow" as he calls it. He did not want to go in and cried! He is very patient when getting dressed to go out, too.
He has been doing daily crafts or activites such as coloring, painting, using markers, or placing stickers all over pieces of paper. He likes playdough and mr potato head, too.
We made christmas cookies a few weeks ago. He did such a great job rolling out the dough, cutting shapes, sprinkling with shots, colored sugar, candy pieces and then icing. and he loved eating them, too!
We made jello jigglers, too. He did a great job cutting out the shapes with the cookies cutters. It is so fun now with noah doing all of these activties.
We are getting ready to celebrate noah's 2nd birthday in one more week. I can honestly say that this year flew by so quickly, it is amazing. I feel like we JUST DID his one year old pictures but that was 12/31/06! The summer was so fun, playing outside each day and swimming.
Noah still goes to his playgroup once a week with the same kids from last year. and now he is back in gymboree. He is having a great time. He also goes to the nursery once a week for church and every other monday for mops. He used to cry, but now he walks in, throws me a quick hand and yells "bye" and shuts the door. I am so glad he adjusts so well!

Merry Christmas!
Today we celebrated noah's 2nd Christmas. He knows it is Jesus's birthday. We ask him who's birthday it is and he'll say "Je Je". and we'll ask him where Jesus is, and he'll say "heart" and point to his heart and then my heart and Joe's heart. Then run into the dining room and point to the Last Supper picture. I love that he knows Jesus!
He still does so well with praying and if I forget to pray at lunch time when it is just him and I, he'll remind me by clasping his hands and saying "amen".
We went to Scott and Lori's today. When we were leaving their house, noah turned to my brother and Lori and said "bye mr, bye miss" .. isn't that the cutest thing? I did not teach him that, I have no idea how he learned that. He does not see them often enough to call them aunt and uncle yet. He did turn to my mom and say "bye bye Nana".. I think she started to cry! It was the first time he said that to her. He also said bye bye ya ya to chris and cheyenne's grandmother, as that is the name she goes by for them.
He had a lot of fun opening gifts and eating brownies and fudge... oh boy! Can't wait for him to brush his teeth tonight. Forgot to mention how well he is doing now brushing his teeth. It got bad for a while, he'll do a great job sucking on the brush and making head bobbing motions like he is brushing, but get nothing accomplished. so when we go to do it for him, he gets very mad! So we started using stamps as an incentive. Each night he'll tell us which one he wants: a soccer ball, a star (his favorite), a mega phone or a #1. He is doing so well now!

North Carolina Vacation
22m 3w
We went on a real vacation with Noah Nov 8-11. We flew to Charolotte, North Carolina and went to a christian retreat in the blue ridge mountains in western North Carolina. We stayed with 4 other families who also brought their young children. It was cold, but all of our cabins had heat, hot water and beds! Kind of luxorious camping. We had a lot of fun hiking and playing outside. Mamma went horse back riding and daddy went on a really long hike. Noah did very well on the air plane, only having trouble with his ears on the way back.
Noah is starting to pray very well. He will fold his hands neatly and bow his head, occasionally looking up to smile and mimic whom ever is speaking--he'll shake his head or really close his eyes tightly. He'll add a few words and then end by saying "AMEN!!!" I am so proud of him, when ever I ask if he wants to pray -even if not before meals, but just random throughout the day, he'll respond by saying, "ALL RIGHT!"
Noah had a nice thanks giving over Nana's and grandpa's house-- or as Noah calls him, "bap ba". It is the cutest thing to hear him say that. He played with Emmma and just looked at cousin baby Leo a few times. He was very jealous if mommy held baby Leo.
Noah is starting to talk in sentences now and putting more words together. As I was leaving nana's after dropping him off, I said I was going home. Noah then said, "mamma has to go home." It was so cute!!
He has another cold, just recovering from the NC cold he got on the trip. But it is the season, and I know he'll just keep getting them.
