2nd Christmas

Today we celebrated my mother's 62nd birthday and we had our 2nd family Christmas (my side)holiday party. We took some family pictures before everyone came and then Noah helped Paris prepare to be poodle-pretty!

Noah and Christopher, who is 13, wrestled all day and had a great time just being boys. Cheyenne, who is 10, was content just cuddling paris, who needed much love and attention. We had a nice family day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Noah had such a great time on Christmas morning! He was surprised by his train table, which he told us was supposed to be in the box. (All of the times he walked past it in the garage I thought he never saw it, I guess he did.)

Later we went to Becky and Dan's. Noah had so much fun playing with Emma and Leo!

Christmas Wall-E

Today when I told noah it was Christmas Eve, he said, "no, it is christmas Wall-E." For those who have not seen the movie Wall-E, Eve is the other main robot character. And since noah loves that movie.. Eve is the only thing he can relate to, vs christmas eve. It was just so funny to hear him say it. He is understanding a little about the holiday. I tell him it is Jesus's birthday and he sometimes agrees with me and talks about cute baby Jesus. Other times, depending on how rambunctious he is feeling, he will debate me and tell me "it is almost baby Noah's birthday!!!" 9 more days until his 3rd birthday... He doesn't really get santa. He knows how to identify him, and waved to him at the mall but doesn't get the whole writing letters to santa and how he brings gifts to good boys and girls on a magic sleigh being pulled by 8 reindeer... My friend recommended a few books that helps correlate santa and Jesus throughout the holiday. I think I will get those books for next year. Tonight Joe and I will put together his train table an look forward with excitment to his reaction to the table tomorrow morning. Then we are going to Becky and Dan's to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday, with friends and family, and rejoice in the birth of Jesus!

Here are some more holiday pictures. Baking, playing, and just being silly, enjoying the holiday fun.

Tinsel hair

2 more weeks until Noah turns 3!!

As I write this, Noah is in bed, supposed to be napping. But instead, he is giggling, because he is tickling his own feet!

One day a few weeks ago Noah and I were visiting the Farmington library. A lady commented on how beautiful Noah's hair is. And it really is. It is an amazing color: a rich golden-blonde but with flecks of gold running through each strand of hair that glistens in the sun. The woman said she has been trying for years to get the same color in a box but could never accomplish it. and she never will be able to, it is only something God could create.

As we are getting ready for Christmas next week, Noah is really starting to understand a little bit more this year. He does not really ask for gifts, and when we do shop, I tell him we are shopping for friends. When he sees his gifts at home by accident hidden in the spare room, I tell him they are for his cousin Emma or cousin Leo. He knows about baby Jesus and God's people and Mary and Joseph. I am really excited to see how he reacts next year and what he learns about the true reason for Christmas.

Joe and I got a baby sitter for tonight and are going to see the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker!!!

One more month until 3

I just can't believe Noah will be 3 in one more month. These past years have just flown by! There is so much he says and does, I wish I could write it all down to remember. I love the hugs at the grocery store. as we are shopping he asks for hugs and gives me the best ones! I don't care if I block the aisle with my cart, all hunched over getting my hugs..they may not always come so freely in the future.
I also love my "biggest hugs in the world!" Noah wraps his arms tightly around my neck and legs around my waist. I love those!!

Noah is doing remarkably well on the potty! He has had only a few accidents in the past few weeks he has been potty trained which is amazing! He even tries to stay dry at nap (still wears nap time diaper) and wakes up and goes pees and poos! He has been amazing about going potty on his own! He asks his teachers at church to go potty without being reminded. At home he is independent and takes down his own pants and underware and goes. Sometimes he forgets to tell me he went poo and I notice he went only because he is walking around bottomless...

For 2 weeks instead of m&m's, we moved to noah receiving marbles. one for pee and 2 for poos. he put them in a jar and at the end of the night he would dump them out and count them and we'd mark it on a paper hung on the fridge. The most he had in one day is 31!!! and at the end of these two weeks, he had 257 marbles!!! How many diapers is that? He is doing fantastic and I am so proud of him. The best part, he did it when he was ready. I did not push, only offered the potty. If at any time this past year he declined or refused underware or asked for his diaper on, that was fine. He did it on his terms, when he was ready, and it worked!

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent the day at Scott and Lori's for thanksgiving today. It was a very nice day, and noah had fun playing with chris and cheyenne. He ate very well, sharing Lori's salad and dessert. It was a very nice day.

Daddy and Noah put the tree up last night and we are going to decorate it on Sunday. Time to get ready for Christmas!!

box of cinnamon

Noah has been sick for a month so the dr finally agreed to put him on antibiotics. One night while I was getting Noah ready for bed, I realized I had forgotten to give noah his medication. I yelled down to Joe, "Joe, can you get noah's amox?"
and then noah yells down, "Joe!! Joe!! Get my box!"
so then I laughed and clarified, "Joe, can you please get Noah's amoxicillin?"
and then Noah yells his clarification, "Joe, get my box of cinnamon!"

Gift from God

Today I was paying bills on line after bible study and noah kept asking me to come play. I said I would in one minute when I was done. so he went and got his guitar (a real children's acoustical that he cherishes). I hear him strumming and begin to sing... so I slowly turn around... he has taken my minature stool that is a decoration, and placed himself upon it, playing his guitar and singing a song to me he has learned in bible study, complete with hand gestures, which he has to put down the guitar for. "good morning God, this is the day, I'll try it, show me the way!" I just hugged him and of course cried, if you could have seen him! I did not even know that he could do that, but it makes sense that he would as he sings other songs we taught him. it was just a lovely gift from God.

potty blessings

2 yrs, 10 months, 2 weeks

well, noah is potty trained. He has been going pee in the potty since this summer, but he had to be naked from the waste down. None of this pull-ups business, he would just pee in them. (and who wouldn't? how confusing for the kids, they are just glorified diapers!)
so noah has had a cold for the past 3 weeks but getting worse. So I cancelled plans for tuesday and wednesday to help him recoop. I also used these days to really buckle down on this potty training. During the summer, any time he had underware on, he'd pee in them. so we put them away for a few months. I took them out again Tuesday and told noah he is not to pee in them, but only pee in the potty. If he stayed dry and peed in the potty, he'd get an m&m. He did have one accident, but quickly learned that the underware would not hold the pee as he saw it splattering on the floor. The 2nd time he went to pee in them he quickly stopped himself and ran to the potty. It just took a few months of growth and maturation for him to develop this skill.
He stayed dry all day Wednesday and today, Thursday. I have been putting him on the potty every half hour whether he had to go or not. He even began telling me late last night and early this morning that he had to go pee, instead of me asking him. Tonight he began going pee on his own, without me knowing!

and the coolest thing, he went poop all by himself, too!!! I was on the phone with the bank and he told me he went poop! I had to rejoice and the banking lady joined in with me! (I am sure that recorded conversation will give someone a good chuckle).
We were so excited! We called daddy and left him a phone message and noah got two m&m's and he got to pick out a brand new train! He chose Toby, his favorite from the plainville public library train table. He kept checking out his poo, very proud of himself!

While I was finishing up paying the bills, I noticed that he went pee again, and did not tell me and did not ask for a m&m... he really has caught on quickly, all we had to do was wait for him to be ready! It just goes to show that you have to go at the child's pace vs pushing them.

edited to add 11/16. Noah stayed dry for his first outting! We went to a birthday party on Friday where there were tons of kids and new toys and even live entertainment! and noah went pee there a few times and stayed dry! He then stayed dry Saturday during gymnastics and then today at church he conquered his fear of going pee on the adult potty at church and went a few times for his teachers! He had one accident, but it is his first so far. And he went poops in the potty 3 times last night all by himself for Nana and Poppa! yay Noah!

Mrs. Mommy

2 yrs, 10 months

Noah last night, wanted my attention. So he politely said, "Excuse me, Mrs. Mommy."
I just could not believe it! First, how polite saying excuse me, and then using Mrs. like he does for his CBS preschool teachers to address them, and then well, he only knows me as mommy!

Last week, we were going over his name. I would asked him what his name is and he'd say, "Noah, (and then spell) N.O.A.H." Then I would say, what is the rest of your name by prompting, "noah.... john....." and he'd respond "Michaud!!"
Then he proceeded to say, "and you are Mommy Michaud and that's Daddy Michaud!"
Isn't he just the smartest thing?

And now Noah I hear noah saying, "I love mommy, I love mommy, I love mommy" when he is playing or in bed, I hear it on the baby monitor. It just makes my heart sing!

Pretty Mommy

Joe and Noah were reading one of the Thomas the train books one night. They came to a page where everyone was at the beach. Joe thought he'd be funny and ask which one was mommy? Noah chose the voluptuous blonde babe in the bikini! Noah then pointed out that the fat guy with the large rear-end was daddy. I cracked up!

Today Noah was watching a Thomas dvd and they were showing all the different trains. I was watching noah as he was responding to the trains.. the regular guy train was daddy, the pretty girl train with big eyes and lip stick was mommy and the little train was noah! I love that he thinks I am so pretty!

A boy and his dog

34 months

Noah has always loved paris. But recently he has really developed a relationship with him. He always wants to give Paris treats, and Paris listens to noah and sits when demanded and also gives paw. Noah thinks that is the coolest thing! Paris will now eat breakfast and dinner when Noah eats and takes food from him, as Noah likes to help feed paris. Paris had a history of poor eating since he was a pup, to the point of vomiting bile, because for some reason he refused to eat. But now since he and Noah have become such good buddies, he will always eat.

In the mornings as soon as Noah wakes up and comes downstairs, he immediately ask for paris. They will sit on the couch and snuggle under the same blanket and watch Curious George. Ok, so the dog is just happy being held, he is not really watching tv.

The other day, I was on the couch with Noah and really wanted some snuggle time. I asked Noah if I could hold him and he told me no because he wanted to hold Paris, because Paris is a baby!

He loves petting him and does it very gently. Paris will make this soft little whisper-whine noise. I tell Noah that is paris' happy noise. so noah really loves to pet him softly to get paris to make those little noises. I am glad he is so loving towards animals!

And finally, Noah thought it would be fun to groom paris.. complete with a haircut and a good brushing.. Good thing they were fake scissors!

HaPpY HaLLoWeeN

Noah is almost 34 months old.. 2 more months until he is 3!

Noah and I had a fun halloween day. Noah played all morning in his elmo costume that we borrowed from a friend at church. Nana B came over the night before and Nana came over on halloween day. Later we then went to the Plainville Rec dept halloween party with Noah's playgroup friend Emma and her family. They had costume judging, balloons, treats for the kids, trick or treat bags and a magic show! At the end, the highschool marching band took the kids on musical march! We then went to dinner with Emma and her family at First and Last Tavern. We had so much fun! Mommy wnet to work after, but daddy and Noah went home to pass out candy. Noah decided he wanted to get on all 4's and bark at the kids like Paris as he greeted them at the front door. He had a fun day!

New/fun things noah is saying and doing. He is getting ready for Christmas/winter season already. I had bought him new snow boots as the forecast was calling for snow towards the end of October! Noah kept calling them roller skates and insisted wearing them around the house. Keep in mind he is usually naked from waste down for potty training purposes. I walked into the living room to check on him and he was reading the "Big Toy Book" from toys R us and laying on his belly, with his snow boots on, choosing which toy he wanted for Christmas! It was the funniest thing!
He keeps asking me to make Christmas cookies, too, which is funny that he remembers from last year. He has already told me he wants a train table for Christmas. We are getting him one, so I am glad he is requesting it! I started to sing "dashing through the snow, on a one horse open sleigh....." and when I got to the end, he proudly sang, "JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS".. Noah, how do you remember that from last year?????

Noah is having a wonderful time in community bible study (CBS) each Thursday at church. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Zarolli. She was absent one day, and her co-teacher told us that she had jury duty. Well, Noah over heard that and told me later on that "Mrs. Rolli got dirty. She needs to wash up." So we called her phone and left her that message. She said it totally brightened her day to hear that message!
The next week I asked noah, "who loves you?" expecting he would say mommy. Nope, he said, "Mrs. ZZrolli"... He is starting to get her name right.

Noah is very observant right now, and really is noticing each day all of the leaves. He tells me all the time that "the leaves fall from the tree and the sticks fall from the tree." and when he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he says is, "the sun wakes up!" and then he might at, "it's kind of cloudy out." and as we go outside he'll remark, "it's kind of chilly out." and at night he'll say, "it's getting kind of dark out, need a flashlight!". I could write forever how funny and creative he is, I just love this age!

When I put noah to bed at night, my hair is usually messy, pulled up in a pony tail. As I leaned over him one night to give him a kiss goodnight, he make a strange face at me, and proceeded to fix my hair! he told me that I need the blowdryer-robot to fix my hair. and I needed a hair cut! in the morning after a shower, he'll tell me that my hair's all wet, I need to fix that. So observant!

He is so obsessed with curious George. or K-george as he calls him. He will tell us which show he wants to watch. "watch pirate one? watch pirate one? watch pirate one? alright, watch pirate one." Like I offered and he was just agreeing with me.

and finally, when Joe brings noah to his mom's when he and I are both working, Noah for a long time would bring stinky and elmo blanket. Lately, he has been putting stinky on his pillow and putting a blanket over him and saying, "good night stinky. time to take a nap. see you later." such a big boy!

Fall Colors

Today we went to pick out our mums. When we got home, noah posed for some fall pictures by the scarecrow and pumpkins.

Pumpkin time!

Today we went to Pickin' Patch Farm in Avon. Noah went on a tractor hay ride and got to pick his very own pumpking out in the field!
Then he rode in a wagon to pick out his favorite gords and baby pumpkins. We did this last year and Noah had so much fun, we had to do it again. I think this will be a yearly ritual. After noah got to drink the best yummy apple cider out of a cute plastic pumpkin-shaped cup and eat some homemade orange nut bread.
Then we went to see the largest tree in Connecticut; a sycamore tree in Avon that is hundreds of years old.

When we got home, Noah got to help carve his very first jack-o-lantern! He had so much fun chosing the face he wanted daddy to cut, help scoop out the seeds, and watch the candle glow inside!

Forts!

After a meeting at mops the other day, I decided to take some good advice from a wise mom, Liz Abramson, about simple fun play. We went home and made a fort in the dining room with a sheet stretched over dining room chairs. Noah was so excited! We had lunch underneath and then even took an afternoon snooze!

Then, daddy got the idea a few days later to pull out the big guns.. and make a fort out of his camping tent!

We have had so much fun play fort inside the house!

Boys will be boys....

noah, being a boy, is obsessed with poops. he has to check his out every time he poops.. and it is hard to change a dirty diaper when he is struggling to sit up and take a view of it.
so yesterday we were going for a walk with paris attached to the stroller. paris stops to take a poop and of course noah has to watch, all impressed that dogs poop too. (he is repeating elmo in elmo potty video that everyone poops. so he was telling me, like I did not know this, that dogs poop too.)
so then paris was done and had a little doggie turd hanging on to his back end as he was walking. noah explaims, "EWWW, POOPY!! YUCKY!! paris needs a diaper on!!!"
I almost peed my pants laughing.

Noah is 32 months old!

Four more months until he turns 3!

OH my goodness....how did that happen? It seems like just yesterday he was a little itty bitty baby!

Two funny things happened yesterday that I want to write about. The first, noah and I were reading one of his library books (which he now pronounces library and not "eh-tay-tay"). It was an alphabet book, with big and little letters. I was showing him how some upper case letters look like lower case letters, like C and c and then some do not, like the letter A and a. So when we got to letter F, Noah exclaimed: "OH NO!! E's broken!! E's broken!!!"... He pointed to the bottom part of the letter F, where there is no "foot" like the letter E has. How smart is he to notice that?
The other funny thing was last night I was getting ready to catch some sleep for work. Noah wanted to cuddle in bed with me. I asked him to sing "rock a bye" to me like how I sing it to him each night. So he sat up by the head of my bed and sang, "rock a bye mommy, on the tree top... when the wind blows... the cradle with drop..." It was so funny and yet so sweet and endearing of him. What a sweet little guy I have!!

As summer ends....

As the summer winds to an end, I am sad thinking of the things we did not get to do. Last summer and the year before, noah and I walked every day with his stoller, all around the neighborhood. We became an icon of the neighborhood, people have told us. I remember this time last summer becoming nostalgic that it would soon turn cold and told noah he would have to start wearing a jacket and socks and shoes when we went out. then in the spring, the first warm day in april, we were outside and so excited! now it is the end of august, the summer has FLOWN by and we only walked 3 times. I guess as he gets older, activites change. walking was our activity and that was great. but I am realizing things change. it is great to have those first memories, but we cannot always recreate them. and in the vain attempts to do so, we become disappointed.
We also did not play outside in the front and back like we used to. his water and sand table sat for most of the summer. same with the bubbles and side walk chalk, bikes and buckets. the front yard tree swing is covered in fallen leaves.
but this summer we created new memories. Many carousel visits all through CT and RI. Trips the different parks and zoos. Vacations on the beach, theme parks to ride roller coasters, visits to see Thomas and ride a train and go to car-washes to see robot arms helping... his favorites. Trips to the library and mall. He enjoyed art and music class at gymboree and began going to the ymca while I exercised. he likes to play with "different friends at the Ymca". He even asked me to leave so he could stay and play! He loves to search for snakes and bugs with daddy and pick tomatoes from the garden.
so I guess I am learning in my new stages of motherhood that it is ok to have different schedules each summer and things cannot be recreated some times. I look forward to what we will learn and discover next summer.

My day...

My day while noah has a cold.
It was pretty bad so I had to give in and give him some medicine. but afterwards, he was so WIRED on the medicine! he was going nuts all over the house, things he never does. he unrolled all of the TP, I know, a lot of kids do it, but noah never has. he unrolled it all the way out into his bedroom! in the bathroom was more all thrown into the toilet and then an even bigger pile on the floor!
then he pulled out every single tissue in the new box and layed in it and rolled all around, naked (as he is potty training so he has been half naked all summer). I guess it felt soft.
then I hear this slurping sound. Noah is on the ground on all fours drinking out of paris' water bowl!!!
then he got into my cabinets and pulled out all the pots and pans and dropped my pyrex dishes!! thank goodness nothing broke. this was done in a matter of minutes, when I was doing the dishes, then doing laundry. things I could always do with him "alone" upstairs.
then he let out a big yawn and said, "I am so tired right now. I need a nap."
where did this kid come from??

My day, while potty training a 2 1/2 year old.
All before lunch Noah kept saying he wanted a diaper on.. diaper on, diaper on... like a broken record. so I had to stop lunch preparation and tell him he does not need a diaper, just go on the potty. (we have been watching the "once upon a potty video" too. by the way, it is cute, but it says, "IT'S NOT A HAT, NOT FOR THE CAT, NOT A BIRD BATH..." in the song. so now noah puts his potty on his head.. and says "it's a hat".. like come on noah, we did the potty is a hat 6 months ago. then he tells me he is going to go poopy on the floor. (he has had 2 accidents with solid poops on the floor and we try not to make a big deal out of it. well, it has been such not big deal it seems that he likes the idea now. ) and on saturday, joe took a shower and forgot to put a diaper on him. noah ran into the bathroom and told joe he pooped. sure enough there was a big ol' turd on noah's bedroom floor. so today noah kept saying he was going to go poppy on the floor. I said, "no, dogs do that and you are not a dog. dogs don't know how to use the potty and that is why they go on the ground outside. you DO know how to use the potty, you are a big boy, you can use the potty. " so what does he start doing? barking. yes, barking. so as lunch sat out now for 30 min, we go upstairs and try the toilet instead of the potty. he uses the step stool to climb up and sits and sits. I read him books and I swear his butt is going to rip open with how wide he is straddling the toilet. he wants down. so now we sit on the bathroom floor, reading books. as the lunch is still sitting out. he runs to his room to get himself a diaper. I have to discourage him. I think he was actually going to diaper himself! we go downstairs to the potty and he starts screaming he wants a diaper on! so I finally give in and he gets the diaper on, stands up and pushes so hard and informs me "it is a big poopy, a BIG poopy." so we walk upstairs and change him 5 seconds later. lunch is now out for a hour. I lay on the floor, feeling so exhausted and defeated. 10 more min pass and I look over at him and say, "noah, do you even care that I am lying on the floor" "no, I am reading", he says. so we go and eat lunch. after he wakes up and so do I, (I had to sleep for work) and I am telling joe about my day( and he is careful not to critisize me.) noah runs in to inform us that he just did poops. we just look at each other, expecting to find another turd on the carpet, bark bark.. but he did infact push out a little tiny poop. but he was so excited and he got 2 chocolate m&ms... something else I swore I would never do, reward him with food. but it works I guess.

noah was teasing me that he was going to poop on the rug and I just sat and smiled. and he said "Nooooo, not on the floor.. that is for the dog." then I had to say, "no , dogs don't go on the floor. they go outside. if they go on the floor, they get in trouble." it is so funny now taking him into public restrooms. thankfully I was alone with him yesterday grocery shopping. I had to pee so I brought him in with me. he asks, "momma have to poopy? BIG poopy?" "No noah, just pee pee." "yes, mommy pee pee". when he passes gas he says, "huh?! what was that noise? noisy poops?"
he is so funny and honest at this stage.

Potty time and robots

Noah can totally pee on the potty now, no problems. but he has to be naked from the waste down to initiate it himself. pooping is another issue. he constantly asks for a diaper if he has to poop. which means he knows he has to poop and can hold it if he has to. he recognizes the sensation. I don't know why he gets anxious, but I hear it is common. so he got his 3rd thomas train this morning for completing another round of thomas punches (like a train conductor). so now we are moving on to only punches for poops. and he is afraid of underware too. he likes them but screams "NO!" if I want to put them on.

His newest funniest word is "chap skip" for chap stick. I know it is close, but how he says it is what makes it so funny. "chaP skiPPP" BIG P'S!
I forgot to write a few weeks ago, we realized that noah knows how to jump and skip. the jumping part took a while, just couldn't get those little feet off the ground. He loves to jump and is so proud of himself! skipping is fun, too for him. I think it came about from doing the "pee-pee dance"! he just skips all around the house but going diagonal, not straight.

we are going back to six flags in a few weeks but with cousin emma! noah is so excited about the roller coaster!
He still loves to talk about robots. It has been a few months now, maybe more, that he has loved robots. But recently he has been obsessed! today I had to go to the eye dr and he thought the robot was helping the dr look at my eyes. everything is a robot. the water cooler, vacuum, furnace, washer and dryer, blow dryer, curling iron, regular iron... He also still loves garbage trucks. and they of course have robot arms. and the 3rd thing he always talks about is "monsters at the beach". which is a sesame computer game. but it turned into more about monsters. he read a book recently that the characters thought there was a monster but it turned out to be a crow. and it doesn't help that the sesame street characters are called monsters.

noah is also switching to a big bed at their house, too, for naps. hopefully he won't fall out! we might change the crib to a bed instead.

I am so proud of noah reciting scipture. He has learned john 3:16 a while ago.
John 3:16 (New Living Translation) "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. AMEN"
and now we are working on John 14:6 (New Living Translation)
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." I am so proud of him!

Mr. Smarty Pants

(31 months, 1 week)
we took noah to six flags today. he LOVED it! they had a roller coaster he could ride with a parent (one of many rides for tots) and it actually got my stomach up into my throat, but noah loved it and was so mad when it ended! so he went on 5 more times. and yes, there was a carousel of course. This kid has no fear! I know I will be worried when he is older!
I can't get over how smart noah is. not just regular smart like knowing how to spell his name and knew his alphabet before age 2 and how to count to 20 and all of his colors and shapes. but he is astutely smart, very aware of his surroundings. Last Tuesday we brought noah to the bushnell carousel in Hartford. This Friday we brought noah to six flags, and had to take 84 East to get there. As we approached the city, noah got all excited and started saying the carousel was there. I was like, joe, how does he know that? then he pointed to the gold building which was right next to the park. he saw the sky scraper way up in the sky and knew where he was, after only have been to the bushness carousel one time. then as we got right before the asylum street exit, he got all excited and said "right there! carousel! right there!" How did he remember, at age 2 1/2, that the asylum street exit was the correct exit?

and at six flags, way in the parking lot, he pointed to the top of a building in the distance and said it was the carousel. As we got inside the park, sure enough, he was correct. That very building he pointed to way far away, was infact, the carousel.

we went to lexi's 3rd bday, and noah blew chrissy and debbie out of the water with the fact he could spell his name. chrissy made him a goodie basket with his name on it and he quickly and correctly spelled his name. they could not believe it, and not to appease him, but for real, were in shock!

he likes to look at things and figure out how they work. there was a baseball game that picked up the ball and pitched it to the kid. he did not care to play with it, but figure out how it worked. I wonder if he'll be an engineer some day? he was so cute, lexi got a tricycle and noah was "fixing the wheels" for her. when he was complete, making sure they were all safe, he said, "ok, all done. wheels fixed". it was so cute he was playing and helping her. what a little man.

2nd week of summer vacation

noah is 31 months old. 5 more months until he is 3!!!!
we are home on vacation this week. We went to the carousel at Bushnell park in Hartford. Noah loved it!!! Today daddy joined us at art class and music class at gymboree. Tomorrow we are going to 6 flags if the weather is nice enough. Sunday we are going to see thomas at the thomaston train museum! and of course noah got to go to a car wash this week too. my truck has never been so clean!

noah's cdiff cleared up. the flagyl worked, thank God. His bottom healed and the scars are fading.

noah has a new molar growing in now, his 2nd one of the two year molars. He had a low grade temp of 101 the other night and he has a slight runny clear nose/histamine reaction going on. He gets so excited over the new tooth! he likes to play dentist now and look into my mouth.

noah is so funny!! he has been super clingy lately and keeps asking (demanding!) that I lay down with him and sleep at night. I tell him my bed is in the other room and he cries.. so last night I gave him his huge life-size elmo to sleep with. the one you push his stomach and he talks. so last night on the monitor, we hear elmo talking. so we turn on the video and watch... "GIVE ELMO A HUG" and so noah hugs him. "YOU ARE ELMO'S BEST FRIEND." noah responds," thanks elmo" "LET'S GO FOR A WALK" noah responds,"ok, we can go to the car wash" "LET'S PLAY!" noah scolds, "no play! stay in bed!"

I was crying, laughing so hard. we video taped it (the monitor comes with cords you can plug into the tv and watch the baby monitor on the tv and we recorded off the tv). how I love this age!

noah is totally peeing on the potty now! just the poops he asks for diapers. but the catch, he has to be naked all the time from the waste down. so if you come over, there will be a potty in the middle of the living room and then you will see a half naked two year old running around that has no shame, just tons of precious innocense! he got his second train tonight from all the holes being punched in the thomas card!!! way to go noah! he is so proud of himself, too. he does a pee-pee dance! it looks like a cross between the chicken dance, hiphop and white boy dance!
